Rex's Story
Rex comes to the Lawmen band as Lead Vocalist and Lead Guitarist. Over the years Rex has earned a reputation as being one of the finest musicians and vocalist Nashville has produced.
Rex began his professional career working for Percy Sledge renown for his many Motown number one hits; most notably When A ManLoves A Woman. He went on to work with other Motown artists such as The Marvolettes and The Drifters just to name a few. Rex later went on to do various projects with major recording artists such as Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra and Della Reese.
After playing guitar in the recording studio on a country music project, Rex grew to love country music and it 's many artists, and has since worked with numerous major country music recording artists such as Garth Brooks, Dukes Of Hazard stars Tom Wopat and John Schneider, Holly Dunn, Kathy Mattea, John Anderson Steve Warner, and others. Rex appeared numerous times on nationally broadcast television shows such as NBC's The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, TNN's Nashville Now with Ralph Emery , CBS's The Pat Sajack Show, TNN's New Country, and videos broadcast on CMT (Country Music Television). Rex also joined the cast as Musical Director of the Broadway version of Grease in Nashville, TN.
Later Rex took the position as musical and vocal director for the world famous Las Vegas show Legends In Concert , and Tribute The Concert , a show owned and produced by Calvin Gilmore, owner of the Carolina Opry and several musical theater venues in Myrtle Beach, SC.
